At Omayroom, we strive to make your travel planning as flexible and seamless as possible. However, because we operate as an aggregator connecting you with various airlines, hotel partners, and transport providers, cancellations and refunds are governed strictly by the specific rules of the respective service operators.
Please review our standard booking cancellation guidelines below carefully before making or canceling any reservation.
1. Flight Cancellation Policies
- Airline Rules: All flight ticket cancellations, date changes, and re-issues are subject to the specific fare rules set by the operating airline (e.g., Indigo, Air India, SpiceJet).
- Non-Refundable Fares: Certain promotional or budget flight tickets are marked as non-refundable by airlines. In such cases, only government taxes may be eligible for a refund.
- Service Fees: Omayroom charges a standard convenience processing fee per passenger seat for managing flight cancellations, over and above the standard airline penalty.
2. Hotel Booking Cancellations
- Free Cancellation vs. Paid: Hotel room cancellations depend entirely on the specific room tariff selected during booking. Many properties offer "Free Cancellation" up to 24–48 hours before the scheduled check-in time.
- No-Show Policy: If you fail to show up at the hotel without prior official notification, the booking will be treated as a "No-Show," and the entire hotel booking amount will be forfeited.
3. Bus, Cab, and Train Cancellations
- Buses: Cancellation charges vary based on the remaining time before the bus departure. Standard operators do not allow any refunds if cancelled within 2 to 4 hours of the scheduled journey time.
- Cabs & Outstation Taxis: Free cancellation is usually available if done well in advance (e.g., 24 hours before the pickup time). Last-minute cancellations may incur a one-day basic fare charge.
- Trains: Train cancellation guidelines, chart preparation timelines, and dynamic tatkal deduction penalties strictly follow Indian Railways (IRCTC) regulations.
4. Customized Holiday & Tour Packages
- Tour packages involve advanced block-bookings for hotels, flights, and sightseeing vehicles.
- Because these bookings are guaranteed to suppliers in advance, cancellations made closer to the travel date carry higher penalty structures. A complete breakdown of package cancellation costs will be shared transparently in your specific itinerary receipt.
